We are looking for an experienced professional. In this role you will be closely interacting with international partnering functions for centralized activities and services such as the EU Finance Hub, International Treasury and Genpact, based in Vienna.

Your Tasks
- Accountable for the statutory (UGB) statement of accounts for the entire legal entity, including the Austrian affiliate as well as the European North & East regional hub
- Monitors and ensures that all accounting matters are handled timely and accurately, and completed according to corporate (US GAAP) and local (UGB) accounting principles including the oversight of quarterly closures, AR/AP, accrual set up, asset management, balance sheet reconciliation, payroll processing and tax payments
- Ensures financial integrity and compliance: drives local SOX controls and IICE certification
- Key contact of the entity for selected external stakeholders such as financial auditors, tax authorities and Statistik Austria
- Oversees & contributes to all financial processes of the affiliate as limited risk distributor, including service fee management of the regional hub
- Demonstrates ambition to expand the role beyond core accounting responsibilities: acts cross-functionally as business and sparring partner within the organization e.g. for the local Finance lead, FP&A, HR, Compliance, Customer Service, Supply and Fleet Management
- Constantly assesses and reviews finance processes and seeks efficiency improvements
- Provides training and guidance for certain responsibility areas such as expense reimbursement (Concur), transactional procedures (SAP) and benefits in kind
- Actively participates in global/regional projects and initiatives
- Demonstrates advanced communication and collaboration skills and abilities
- Applies a customer focus to all activities
- Demonstrates strong organisational and planning skills
- Routinely analyses and solves complex problems

- University Degree or equivalent diploma in Finance/Accounting
- At least five years of experience in financial department, preferably in an international setup within the pharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated excellence of technical knowledge of accountancy (US GAAP and UGB principles), relevant laws, local taxes, and accounting systems/processes
- Demonstrated capability to learn quickly, being open and flexible to changes, in a multinational environment
- Demonstrates a high level of analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems
- High level in German language and in oral as well as written English communication
- Excellent skills in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and the Microsoft Office environment
